Amaury Acosta, also known as King Klavé, is an experimental Electronic music Composer, Producer,and percussionist, born and raised in Hell’s Kitchen, New York City. into Cuban Parents. He attended LaGuardia High School for Performing Arts and graduated from Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis High School in 2006. He graduated from The New School For Jazz & Contemporary music in New York City in 2011. He has performed in Japan, Australia, South Korea, The United States Of America, Cuba, Mexico, Honduras, Canada and countless others. Amaury’s production style focuses on Fusing The Soulful sounds of Jazz , Funk, Soul, Hip Hop, Rock, and Electronic music with His Afro Cuban Roots.
He has collaborated with Iggy Pop, Pino Palladino, Wynton Marsalis, Kimbra, Jose James, Paquito D’Rivera,Candido Camero, Keyon Harold, Robert Glasper, Pedrito Martinez, Israel “Cachao” Lopez, Descemer Bueno, Arturo O’Farrill, Pedrito Martinez, Taylor Eigsti, and many others. His debut album is a 17 song genre bending synthesis of Afro Cuban Traditional Rhythms, with Jazz, Hip Hop, R&B, & Funk.
